FROM THE PRESIDENT’S CORNER
I hope that the mystery person and board member information added to the last newsletter has generated some questions among KCS members. I know at the last main meeting two members approached me to say they also grew up in Illinois. I wanted to express a special thank you to Lorie Kolby for being the first mystery member.
It was very interesting to work at the May Older Americans Conference and talk to all of the attendees coming to the table to inquire about KCS. We had a lot of people enter the drawing for a year’s free membership. Thank you to the volunteer member who worked in our booth.
A reminder for the upcoming summer season, we will not have main meetings during the months of July and August. Also the Tuesday classes at Mountain View Middle School will end after 1 June and the Stock Investment Class has ended for the summer. Note: The 3rd Saturday’s XP/Vista/Windows 7 classes and Mary Ann’s Sunday classes will continue during the months of July and August. Please check the website calendar to for the most up to date information.
There will not be a July newsletter, but there will be an August news letter.
